ICE Releasable Modular Armor Carrier

The NEW ICE RMAC is a modular body armor carrier with superior release, assembly, comfort and protection. It is designed to fit BALCS ballistic panels and any size SAPI hard armor plates. The vest is fully adjustable even while being worn. It consists of front and back panels, cummerbund, and inner elastic cummerbund. The front, back and cummerbund are covered in PALS to accept any MOLLE pouch. The drag handle is securely bartacked to a reinforced panel for strength. The back panel features integrated padded shoulders that greatly increases comfort. The top of the shoulders feature Velcro closed over-flaps that contain the shoulder straps and allow hydration and communication cable organization. The front panel features a built-in cummerbund flap, Velcro loop name-tape area, and a slot to contain the excess shoulder strap ends. The Cummerbund attaches in the rear with Ladderlocks that are adjustable while being worn. Adjustable plate pockets in the front and back panels fit any size SAPI/ESAPI plate.

The RMAC uses a single point, double cable release mechanism that fully separates the carrier into front, back, and inner cummerbund pieces to allow it to drop away from the wearer.(the outer cummerbund remains attached to the front panel). It can be set up for either right or left shoulder release, and can be completely reassembled in less than two minutes. The release cable remains attached to the shoulder strap and helps separate the whole package.

The vest is unique in that the shoulders and cummerbund can be easily adjusted independent of the release mechanism while worn. This allows on-the-go fit adjustments that increase comfort and ease the perceived weight of a loaded vest, much like adjusting a backpack.

The over-the-shoulder design of the RMTV wears more like a backpack than a conventional vest and the padded shoulders and our soft edge design increase comfort.
The side plate pockets can be inserted into Velcro lined pockets to provide adjustable positioning.

The RMAC is lined with a combination of 3D mesh and Velcro compatible fabric. The 3D Mesh provides room for air flow and padding, while the Velcro compatible fabric allows attachment of optional chin, collar, and shoulder armor.
